Rooted Systems Collective is a community-led collective of organizers, growers, technologists, elders, and partners working alongside working-class and poor Black communities.
We exist to support what communities are already building — not to control it, brand it, or extract from it.
Community comes first. Always.
Who We Serve
We work with Black communities who are too often ignored, underfunded, or pushed aside.
That includes working-class families, low-income households, elders, youth, caregivers, and the people organizing on the ground every day.
We follow the lead of those living the reality — because the people closest to the struggle already carry the knowledge to change it.
How the Collective Works
Rooted Systems Collective is not top-down.
We take our direction from community members, organizers, and trusted partners.
Stewards help hold things together — they don’t run people.
Nothing moves without community voice, participation, and consent.
